Family Dinners
I know I have been MIA for a while. Sorry about that. We have been sooo busy with everything.
Well we have decided, my sister and I that we want to start doing family dinners. We are starting off slow so that everyone can get used to it. We do have 13 grandkids under 12! Most of them under 8. That is alot of kids and its very loud here. I dont mind it, but it takes some getting used to!! To say the least. We have done two so far and its nice. We used to do this every Sunday when we lived in Ohio with my moms side of the family and I do miss it. Plus it gives the kids a chance to play and really grow up with each other. Hopefully once the kids get used to it they will calm down some and we can spend more time.

Scout Mom
So my little monkeys are Cub scouts and Daisy girl scouts. This is D's second year and my first year as a leader. And its N's first year and also mine. I am leading both, yes I said both scout groups! And I love it! The cub scouts is actually really easy because we have a great pack that pretty much does everything for us but the den meetings. And the girl scouts is fun but alot more work. I have to do everything. The only good thing is that for girl scouts, I get to pick all dates, which I can work around the cub scout schdule so that I never have to be in two places at once.
This also makes my pinterest addiction worth it! lol I love pinterest and I get so many wonderful ideas from this website! I highly recommend this site to anyone who is a leader or who helps a leader.
Here's to a great year of scouts!

Cub Scout Fishing Derby
For fathers day we started off the day at our cub scout pack fishing derby. It was fun to see all the kids catching fish and just having a fun time. D loves to fish and really liked it when he caught his first fish on his very own!!
I really enjoy our pack, it is very very family friendly!! They realize that we all have kids and that to have a very good turnout for the events that are planned we have to include all involved, which means little brothers and sisters. That is such a releaf to me! As I want Mike to be involved for D's sake, cause you know cub scouts is for boys! And I am an assistant leader so I really need to be at as many events as I can.............that leaves me bringing all my kids..........which is awsome!

Sharing A Room
We live in a three bedroom home and I have four kids...........guess what, they have to share rooms. No big deal, I am the oldest of four kids we all did it. Right? Well my girls did fine with this, G was 7 when N was born and they did just fine, they would fall asleep together or G would go in later and not wake her. We didnt have any problems until N got to be about 3 and would get into G's stuff.........Now I am the oldest of four so I know how this works and I have handled lots of these problems. G just got her own room for her 12th birthday! Yay! Girls love their own space and she even got a walk in closet (yes, I am jealous)!! We converted a basement room to be hers.
Well my boys are a different story...........D was 6 when little D was born so I thought it wouldn't be so different, but I was way wrong!! I cant seem to get them to go to sleep at the same time for nothing!! And if I put little D to bed first and then D, he wakes up his brother every time! I have no idea what I am doing wrong! Why is it that the girls were so much easier than the boys are? And I hope it gets better in the NEAR future because school will be starting before I know it and I dont want to have this issue all year long!
And just when I think they fell asleep together, I go to bed to find this!!! Now I have to move them into their own beds before I can even go to sleep.

Lazy Summer Days........
So my kids are on summer vacation and we spent last week and weekend FULL of activities with dad while he was on vacation himself! Now its time for the lazy days of summer! My kids love to be outside and they are speding lots of time out there. Digging in the dirt, playing in the sand, squirting each other with the hose and whatever else they decide to do. Why? Because they can! I am usually more about keeping them close by and watching what they are going, but its summer and they need to be free to play and explore! My neighbors probally think I am crazy but I think they are just being kids! Have fun this summer!

Will they ever stop fighting?????
I love my monkeys with all my heart, really I do, but some days...............oh I wish I could leave them at the zoo!!!!!!! D and N are having a really hard time right now, I am not sure why but all they do is fight! Its usually over something very petty and stupid but it does not matter, they have to fight and scream and make my life not so fun as a stay at home mommy! Mike has gotten to see this week that it is not just me, they are really fighting..............I know they will out grow it and eventually stop fighting at least so much, but really............does it have to be so loud???!!!

A week with Dad
Dad took some vacation time this week to spend with me and the kids. And it has been great! We have had alot of fun with him. The only down fall is the oldest, my stepdaughter couldn't be here, its her moms time. We went to the Ranch on Sunday and enjoyed some swimming, fishing and playing outside in the sun!
On Tuesday we we to the zoo with some great friends and all the kids had a blast! We rode the train, it was little D's first train ride.
Then we headed back to the Ranch for the night. The kids got to swim at night, which took some convincing. We made smores by the camp fire and spent all day Wednesday relaxing by the pool, I even got to fall asleep, thanks Dad!!! Fishing, biking, exploring and coming up with ideas for another trip! We do love the Ranch!
Tomorrow we are going to the Magic House! Shhh.....they dont know yet!
